Before you list your vehicle or equipment for sale, it is important to do your homework. How much is it worth? How much can you sell it for? These are important questions to answer before posting your vehicle/equipment for sale.
When you are showing your vehicle or equipment that you are selling make sure it is presentable. Before you take pictures, gave it a good wash and vacuum. Remember that first impressions count.
The next step was to create a listing on www.trucksbiz.com
When creating the ad, keep it simple and to-the-point.
* The year, make, and model of your vehicle.
* Mileage, Kilometers, or hours (How many miles, kilometers or hours is odometer reading).
* Stock number
* Vehicle identification number (VIN) or serial number.
* Engine manufacturer and type
* Horsepower
* Transmission type
* Classified description (Brief description about vehicle or equipment you are selling)
* Upload photos (Trucksbiz allows you to upload several photos for vehicles/equipment or other items you are selling. Make sure that you show both the interior and exterior of the vehicle or equipment you are listing for sale)
* Listing type (Sale/Lease/Rent or Auction)
* Your asking price
* Contact information (including contact name, phone number or email).
* Truckbiz gives the option of an anonymous contact email or text if you prefer)
After Trucksbiz team have confirmed and approved your listing, your ad will be visible for buyers to see.* Make sure to black out your license plate in your listing photos or take a photo at an angle that hides the plates.
* Including the words "or best offer" in your ad is often a great strategy.
* Don't make any promises to prospective buyers. Tell them you will consider their offer and get back to them. If you tell a person that they won the sale, follow through on that promise.
* Ask for cash or a certified bank check. You do not want to have to deal with a bounced personal check.
* When potential buyer is requesting to see the vehicle or equipment you are selling consider meeting in a busy public area rather than giving your personal address.

Throughout the whole negotiation process, be honest with all prospective buyers. After the first full price offer, wait for different offers from other potential buyers. Mention to all prospective buyers, that you will take the highest offer by the end of the day. If multiple buyers are interested in buying your vehicle or equipment you are selling, you may end up selling that vehicle or equipment for more than asking price at the end.
1. After accepting best offer and closing a deal remove plates and registration sticker from the window, (if present), check for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.
2. Make a bill of sale between you and the buyer with terms both parties agreed on.
3. Consider having a friend or family member accompany you.
4. Fill out the vehicle title and collect the payment from a buyer.
5. We suggest accepting only cash or a certified bank check, as there is no guarantee for a personal check.
6. The DMV needs to know if vehicle it is no longer in your ownership, otherwise you could run into mishaps (i.e., being charged the registration fee for the vehicle).
